Study Abroad from India — Your Complete Country Guide
Rise Up Overseas · Study Abroad & Student Visa Consultants · Surat, Ahmedabad & Vadodara
One place to compare every study-abroad destination we work with — 22 countries across Europe, North America and Oceania — before you commit to one. Every country page linked below is built the same way: verified against official government and university sources, not copied from competitor blogs, with the tuition, visa, scholarship and post-study-work rules corrected where most guides get them wrong.
Choosing where to study abroad
Every year we work with Indian students weighing the same trade-offs: the UK's brand-name universities against Germany's low tuition, Canada's post-study work route against a Schengen country's lower cost of living, or a smaller emerging destination like Latvia or Lithuania against an established one like France or Ireland. There is no single "best" country — there is a best country for your course, your budget and your career goal.
This page exists to make that comparison honest. Each country card below leads to a full destination guide — tuition and living costs, the actual student-visa process, scholarships genuinely open to Indian applicants, top universities, work rights during and after study, and the intakes you can still apply for — verified against official sources (government visa portals, education ministries, university pages), not recycled from competitor blogs.
Not sure where to start? Book a free consultation and we'll shortlist 2-3 countries based on your course, budget and profile before you spend time on applications.

We are not a lead-generation aggregator — we are a study-abroad and student-visa consultancy based in Gujarat, working directly with students across Surat, Ahmedabad and Vadodara through the full journey: shortlisting, applications, visa filing, pre-departure and post-arrival support.
22 Destinations, One Team
From established markets (UK, USA, Canada, Australia, Germany) to emerging value destinations (Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Poland) — we cover the full spread, so the country recommendation isn't limited to wherever we have the easiest tie-ups.
Honest, Verified Facts
Every country guide is checked against official government and university sources and corrected where competitor pages get a key fact wrong — work rights, post-study routes and scholarship eligibility especially.
Transparent Costs
Real tuition and cost-of-living ranges up front, not a "contact us for pricing" wall — so you can compare countries on budget before you apply to any of them.
End-to-End Visa Support
Document checklists, financial-proof guidance and interview preparation specific to each country's actual process — not a generic template reused across countries.
Scholarship Guidance
We flag which scholarships are genuinely open to Indian applicants and which are commonly mis-advertised as available when they are not (a mistake we catch on several country pages).
Local, In-Person Offices
Meet your counsellor face-to-face in Surat, Ahmedabad or Vadodara — not just a call centre routing you between agents.

Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions Indian students ask us before picking a study-abroad destination.
How do I choose which country to study in?
Start with your course and budget, not the country's reputation alone. A few pointers: the UK, USA, Canada and Australia offer the strongest brand recognition and post-study work routes but cost the most; Germany, France and the Nordics offer low or no public-university tuition with a language or work-rights trade-off; Ireland and Malta offer English-medium EU/English-speaking study at a mid-range cost; and emerging destinations like Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia and Poland offer lower tuition and living costs with smaller but genuinely QS-ranked universities. Book a free consultation and we'll shortlist 2-3 countries against your actual profile.
Which countries let international students work while studying?
Nearly all 22 destinations allow some part-time work during study, but the permitted hours, whether a separate permit is needed, and how strictly it's enforced vary by country — see each country's own visa and work-rights section for the current, verified rule, since several countries changed their rules within the last two years.
Do all these countries require IELTS?
No — requirements vary by country and by university, and several offer IELTS waivers or accept alternative proof of English proficiency (prior English-medium education, other English tests, or university-run assessments) under specific conditions. Check the language-requirements guide on each country's page rather than assuming one rule applies everywhere.
Are scholarships actually available to Indian students in these countries?
Some, but not all of what's advertised. A number of national scholarship schemes that look promising on paper are restricted to specific regions (e.g. Ibero-American countries only, or EU/EEA nationals only) and exclude Indian applicants entirely — we flag this explicitly on the relevant country pages rather than listing a scholarship as available when it isn't.
How far in advance should I start my application?
Ideally 9-12 months before your intended intake, to allow time for shortlisting, entrance-test preparation if needed, application submission, offer conversion, and visa processing — visa timelines especially can run 4-12 weeks depending on the country and season.
